Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born in Ryan, Oklahoma on March 10, 1940) is an American martial artist and actor. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his rise to fame as a martial artist, and has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do. At a martial arts demonstration in Long Beach, Norris met the martial artist Bruce Lee. In 1972, he acted as Lee's nemesis in the movie Way of the Dragon (retitled Return of the Dragon in the U.S.), which is widely credited with launching him toward stardom.
